Eclipse Trailer

Ummmm...... are we losing a little steam here?

Why do I think this trailer is a little "blah".

Tell me what u think.

  1. Man, I thought the SAME EXACT THING. And, maybe this makes me a bad fan - or maybe I just need to re-read Eclipse, but I don't remember the Volturi coming to them and saying "no second chances". ?? Oh wait... yeah, okay, I think I do know when that comes in... when they're looking into who created the all the newborns, right? Maybe. Anyway, this trailer was just kind-of blah. I was way more excited about New Moon when that trailer came out.

    They better not fizzle out!!!

  2. The third book was the lamest, so I wasn't surprised that this didn't excite me that much.

  3. I think I watched the New Moon trailer and actually squeeled (embarrasing, yes). This was a bit dull. I've seen it three times and feel like I don't need to see it anymore. Wonder what that says about the movie?

  4. but... this trailer is just about Bella, Edward and Jake (we see the Volturis a wonderful 3 seconds and have an image of her parents), but where are the others characters? Emmett (lovely emmett), alice, rosalie, jasper... they have this huge place in the book. where the hell are they?

  5. That was totally my thought, too. I wanted MORE! The trailer for New Moon was amazing and made me freak out and get excited and all that. This trailor looks like it was put together at the wrap party for New Moon. Nothing looks new, nothing looks scary, nothing looks exciting. Sigh. They have to release better trailers, quickly! Still, nice to see Edward and Jacob, no?

  6. I agree 110%! Eclipse was my favorite of the books and this trailer was seriously underwhelming.

  7. Elipse was my favorite book and I hope that they don't screw it up. This clip was terrible. None of them had any energy! This book has so much passion and emotion and they were just talking. Edward looked great in it though. I hope that the clip was just not good and the entire movie is not this bad. This could be the worst job they have done yet if it is like the clip.

  8. Apparently I am a minority but I liked it. I had read so much about how this movie was more for the guys and there was a lot more action that I was worried some of the story would get lost. The trailer helped me feel better about that worry. I know there will be more action because there is an actual battle in this one but the love story/triangle is what is most appealing to the fans (at least that is what I think). But seriously I think they could get on an empty stage and read the book and I would think it was fabulous. Looking forward to seeing more.

  9. I liked the third book the best and yes, this trailer is kinda lame...but maybe they don't want us to get overly excited and not buy the New Moon movie when it comes out this month???

  10. I just think they've focussed more on the love triangle and not the other aspects of the story. They just need to realease another trailer that involves both the romance AND little snippets of the fighting! But then we have to remember, there is high demand on David Slade and he was probably trying to get something out to the fans and kind of half-assed it. But oh, well. He might not have edited everything yet. *shrugs* Still can't wait to see it though. Jacob has totes lost his 8 pack! The manchild loses against Edward.

  11. yes...no enough action. Maybe I need to re-read but it didn't seem much like the book with the whole Jane saying "you're running out of time"-maybe I've just forgotten.

Is Edward getting more and more and more pale with each movie??

  12. Well I kind a like it. It is dissapointing they don't let us see the other characters but maybe they want to let the female fans (are there male fans???) know that they will focus on the love triangle besides the action (cause there would be or so i've read) I haven't read the books (yet) so I don't know what was in it and what wasn't but movies are always (slightly) different from the books.
Maybe they'll release another trailer ?? soon please XD till then just gonna watch New Moon over .... and over .... and over....

  13. No matter what, I can't wait to be at the midnight premier showing of any and all of the Twilight series films...just hope I don't crash my car like I did rushing to see New Moon!

  14. the new moon trailer made me squee (yep, a little embarassing since i'm not 13 lol) and call my best friend immediately and then talk about all the details for like an hour .. (fine, we're 21 - it's still ok, isn't it? :))

anyway, this trailer was "meh". i didn't really like the third book either - and the volturi part from the trailer does not happen in the book as far as i remember. i think they changed some of the story to get more action? i don't know.
i knew i wouldn't like this as much as the last one seeing that New Moon was my favourite book ..
i'll still go see the movie as soon as it comes out but i'm not really excited. only for Rob :)

  15. I agree, it's not that exciting. I think I'm just over most of the actors as a whole, so it's difficult to get into the new film. Of course, like always, I'll be right in the line at 11 pm on opening night with my 16 year old daughter!

  16. have your heard about the possibility of Kellan and ashley being out of breaking dawn?

  17. I can't believe no in depth analysis of Eclipse! Watched it yesterday, and I can say with quite a bit of breathlessness, this is by far the hottest of the movies so far. Heavy on action, equal angst, and extreme eye candy, even a bit of covert dry-humping! Edward and Jacob haven't been near this hot in the previous movies. To quote one viewer post-Edward-ripping-Victoria's-bitch-ass-head-off... "Daayum!" (to which there was a theater round of applause not only for Edward but equally for the well-timed, well-phrased comment)

  18. A superb love story ever. A teenage girl risks everything when she falls in love with a vampire. A densely erotic, twisted take on teen screen romance, Twilight zones out beneath the crushing weight of underage lust intensified and complicated by the excruciating abstention here of unorthodox vampire appetites.
